About Sthiram

A pause, in a world that rarely pauses.

Drawn from the Sanskrit sthira — steady, calm, abiding — Sthiram is a sanctuary of practice for those seeking depth over noise.

We hold space for breath, movement, and meditation in the tradition of the old teachers, offered with the care of the modern world.

"Sthira sukham āsanam" — steady, with ease.

The Founder

Saumya Tripathi

A student of yoga for over two decades, Saumya began Sthiram as a quiet response to a life lived too quickly. Trained in the Sivananda and Ashtanga lineage and shaped by years of study in Mysore, her teaching is rooted in patience, breath, and reverence for the old ways.

She believes the practice is not a place to arrive, but a place to return — again and again — to the steady centre within.

— Saumya

FOUNDER

Nishanth

A devoted practitioner and teacher, he brings a grounded presence shaped by years of asana, pranayama, and meditation in the quiet of the forest and the discipline of the mat.

His teaching invites students to meet the breath as the first teacher — steady, honest, and unhurried.
